Commanding the Narrative Newsletter 22

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I have a feeling that 2025 will be a significant year, with a lot of hard work ahead. With that said, I believe it will be a positive year with a lot of potential wins.

With that said, it is with great excitement that I can let you know that Kevin Loughrey and I have just launched a new initiative - the Australians for Better Government.

The Australians for Better Government (ABG) is dedicated to improving the way we vote, the way we select suitable candidates, how Government functions and the wording of our Constitution.

Elected Members of Parliament often serve their own ambitions, or the will If their political party, rather than faithfully representing the interests and concerns of their constituents. We will begin the discussion to fix that.

Kevin and I plan to hold forums, lobby politicians and engage in speaking tours. We would also like to build towards a National Constitutional Convention.

I surely will have more to say on this over the coming year, but for now, please visit the website and sign up to be a Member. It is currently FREE.

The more Members we have, the more effective we will be.

Until next week, stay active and never back down!

Many thanks,

Steven Tripp

Kevin Loughrey joined us on the recent episode of Commanding the Narrative to discuss the launch of Australians for Better Government.

Both Kevin and I discussed what we hope to achieve, our motivations and why we think it was necessary to start a lobby group focused on bettering our system of Government in Australia.

The Best & Worst Performers

On Commanding the Narrative this week, I was joined by Campbelltown Councillor Adam Zahra, Richard Storch and Sam Buono to conduct a review of 2024.

We discussed the big issues of the year and gave our thoughts on who the best and worst performers were - our responses may shock you!

We also gave our thoughts and predictions on the year ahead, particularly with the looming Federal election fast approaching.

This one was a fun one and well worth checking out!

Australians Defeat Albanese’s Authoritarianism – Can the Brits Do The Same?

Under the weight of the push-back from the Australian people, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s desperate attempt at censorship crumbled under an avalanche of opposition.

As the vote passed the House of Representatives, Senators on the crossbench were bombarded with phone calls, letters and emails from Australians urging them to oppose the bill. It worked and one-by-one, the crossbench Senators holding the balance of power came out to express their opposition.

The dreaded Misinformation and Disinformation bill was dead.

This article explores the significance of this, coupled with what is happening in the United Kingdom under the leadership of Keir Starmer. There is a lot our two countries can learn from each other.
